My favorite part of serving at Genesis Boyne is the vibrant, Christ-centered culture and the real desire to know Him more. We do our best to keep it real and to help each other become more like Him!
I joined the Genesis team in 2022 after pastoring churches in Arkansas and Alabama for nearly 20 years. I’m married to Jenny, the love of my life, and we love sipping coffee together, walking Avalanche Mountain, and entertaining in our home. Our four kids, Lily, Abby, JD, and James are a continuous blessing, and we all love northern Michigan (we especially love the snow!). I also enjoy playing video games with my boys.
I’ve been following Jesus since 1998, and I’m still amazed by His new mercies. As a pastor, my goal is to point people to Jesus through my life and through teaching the Bible. My favorite verse is Romans 1:16: “I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.”
